Best Brush Light Scrubbing: HIWARE Drill Brush Attachment Set

We tested drill brushes the old fashioned way—by getting out our drill, buying some brushes and seeing what worked best.

Along the way, we realized some brushes worked better for different jobs (tile, for example, requires a different brush than say, flooring).

For the best drill brush for light scrubbing, we recommend HIWARE’s Drill Brush Attachment Set. (Yes, for the record, these are attachments for a drill—the drill is not included in this set!).

Here’s why we think this brush set is a good buy:

What We Liked

• Fast!

• Brushes are great at removing soap scum.

• Quick-change shaft included.

• Three brushes included. 2″ brush for narrow spots, 4″ brush for flat surfaces and a bullet-shaped brush for curved corners.

What Needs Work

• Not so good for deep cleaning tile. These brush sets are more for buffing than deep cleaning. If you want to clean tile, we’d suggest the next recommendation.

Best Drill Brush For Tile: Useful Products Drill Brush Power Scrubber

Cleaning tile requires brushes with medium-level stiffness.  You don’t want to scratch the tile, after all. We tried out a series of drill brushes on some dirty tile and thought Useful Products’ Drill Brush Power Scrubber did the best job.

Here’s why:

What We Liked

3 brushes included. We liked the small flat brush the best for our tile, but the other two brushes were useful as well.

• Easy to use.

• Designed for bathroom surfaces: bathtub, shower, tile, porcelain.

• Includes 2″, 4″ and bullet-style brush.

What Needs Work

• Pricey.

Best Drill Brush For Flooring: Holikme 15 Piece Drill Brush Attachments Set

Soon we were eying the bigger sets, like this one by Holikme. Yes, this is a 15-piece set and our pick for the best drill brushes for flooring.

Here’s why:

What We Liked

• Wide variety of sizes and strengths = great for flooring.

• Includes 5 medium strength brushes.

• Also includes six scouring pads.

• Two scrub sponges help clean hard-to-reach spaces.

• Orange sponge for leather, mirrors or windows.

• Red pads for stainless steel and tile.

• Lighter green pads for cookware and removing mineral deposits.

• 5″ brush for outdoor jobs like siding and brick.

What Needs Work

• Can scratch surfaces if not careful! This is true for many drill brushes, not just this set Always start with the softest brushes first on sensitive surfaces like tile!

Best Drill Brush Hard Water: Holikme 22-Piece Drill Brush Attachments Set

Hard water stains can be one of the more frustrating cleaning jobs for most folks—and after trying out several brush sets on some stubborn hard water stains, we think this set is the best bet: Holikme’s 22-piece Drill Brush Attachment Sets.

Yep, 22 pieces—this is the set to go to when you need the most flexibility. That’s because hard water stains can appear on a variety of surfaces . . . light-duty brushes just aren’t going to cut it.

What We Liked

• Same  as set above but with four more scouring pads.

What Needs Work

• Pricey.
