Best Budget-Friendly Dresser: Kamiler 7-Drawer Dresser
There are different schools of thought when it comes to finding the best baby dresser.
One popular idea: buy something that doesn’t look “baby-ish” . . . which can be repurposed to another room after baby outgrows it.
For the best bang for the buck, we like dressers made of foldable fabric drawers that sit on a metal frame. Our recommendation: Kamiler’s 7 Drawer Dresser. It definitely doesn’t scream “baby,” yet the neutral grey color palette would fit nicely into most nurseries.

Best White Baby Dresser: Storkcraft Avalon 6 Drawer Universal Dresser
A wood dresser is a more traditional look for a baby nursery. And if you need more space for baby stuff, a six drawer dresser is a good bet.
After reviewing a half dozen different options, we think Storkcraft’s Avalon is the best bet for a white wood baby dresser. The traditional sleigh design is a classic look and the top can fit a changing pad (sold separately). Here’s more:
What We Liked
• Euro-glider drawers are easy to open.
• Sturdy.
• 6 drawers that are 17.5″ deep.
• Easy on the wallet. Many six drawer dressers made of wood can cost a mortgage payment. This one is easier on the wallet.
What Needs Work
• Dresser isn’t made of solid wood. Instead this dresser is made of engineered wood and composites. There’s nothing wrong with that—it is just as safe and sturdy. The composite wood material keeps the price affordable.
• Inspect immediately for any shipping damage. This can happen with any nursery dresser, but be sure to open and inspect immediately. In our research, we found this isn’t a common problem for this dresser . . . but can still happen, nonetheless!
• Color can vary. This is an issue with ordering any furniture online—depending on your monitor, the color of a dresser you see online may be slightly different in real life. This is less of an issue with the white color, of course. However, this dresser is also available in black, brown and grey . . . and may not be what you exact shade you might want.
• Could be easier to assemble. Set aside some time and patience to assemble this dresser.
Best Dresser Cube Organizer: MAGINELS Children Wardrobe Kid Dresser
And now for something different.
Cube organizers are a semi-new idea for a baby nursery—they function as a dresser and wardrobe/armoire.
For the best dresser cube organizer, we’d go with Maginel’s Children Wardrobe Kid Dresser. It’s functional, cute and easy on the wallet.
Here’s more:
What We Liked
• Easy to assemble.
• Super cute! Love the cartoon animals—and yes, it comes in either pink or blue.
• Each cube holds up to 22 lbs.
• Steel frame holds all the cubbies.
• Flexible configuration—you can arrange the six cubes any way you want. This dresser also includes one hanging compartment.
• Includes assembly tools.
What Needs Work
• Have to be careful not to overload the cubes with too much weight.
• Not as sturdy as other options. If you have rambunctious toddlers, this may not be the best solution. We would anchor the cubes to the wall behind them to make sure they are secure. (That’s good advice for ANY baby dresser—anchor them to the wall to prevent tip-over injuries).
Best Changing Table Dresser: Dream on Me Marcus Changing Table and Dresser
If space is tight, a combination dresser and changing table is a great solution—it does double duty in a small space.
We looked at a dozen different changing table dressers before picking Dream on Me’s Marcus changing table dresser as the best bet—we liked the raised safety rail for the changing table. This is more secure than just putting a changing pad on the top of a regular dresser, in our opinion.
What We Liked
• Multiple color options—grey, white, espresso and more.
• Classic sleight style.
• Good quality.
• Includes 1″ changing pad.
• Affordable.
• Tools for assembly included.
• Nice height for changing diapers.
What Needs Work
• Always inspect for missing parts and shipping damage upon arrival. This is true for all dressers, of course!
• Drawer glides could be a touch smoother.
